In this presentation, Paul Houseman gives and overview of the various local (and some regional) Foundation funding sources for nonprofits based in Dane County. He will discuss from his perspective what it takes to write a successful grant, focusing on prospect research, a compelling proposal, and evaluation. He will also discuss different strategies for receiving annual operating grants, endowments or capacity building grants, and capital grants.
