CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County
Michael Johnson currently serves as the CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County. Johnson has made it his priority to ensure that his agency continues to be a leader in youth development while enhancing its partnerships to produce positive outcomes for young people and their families.
Under Johnson’s leadership, Boys & Girls Clubs through their AVID/TOPS Program has produced 100% graduation rates for four consecutive years in a row with more than 85% of their students currently enrolled in local colleges and universities. Prior to moving to Madison, Wisconsin, Johnson spent 15 years in executive level positions in several cities leading large, complex government and non profit agencies.

Johnson currently serves on a host of boards and committees including: The Healthy Community Foundation, Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation, STAR Credit Union, Caplin Family Charities and the Overture Center.
Michael is married to Toya who serves as the Director of Community Impact for United Way of Dane County and they have two children ages seven and two.
