The Morgridge Center for Public Service connects campus with community through service, service learning, and community based research to build a thriving democratic society. The Morgridge Center will lead the University in preparing students for lifelong civic engagement by building capacity, in partnership with the community, to solve complex problems locally and globally. The Morgridge Center values: Active Citizenship, Community Based Learning, Mutually Respectful and Beneficial Partnerships, Stewardship of Our Resources, Innovation, and The Wisconsin Idea.

With the generous support of John and Tashia Morgridge, the Morgridge Center was founded in 1996. The Morgridge Center promotes citizenship and learning through service within local, national and global communities through various programs, services and resources.
