Paul Houseman

Executive Director, Aldo Leopold Nature Center


Before coming ALNC in the fall of 2012, Paul was the Director of Donor Relations at the Madison Community Foundation and worked extensively on environmental projects and funding. Before that, he worked for Clean Wisconsin, a state-wide environmental advocacy group. Paul has served on the Boards of the Madison Youth Choirs, and Community Shares of Wisconsin, and currently is on the Board of the Natural Heritage Land Trust and Madison Ballet.

Paul received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and his Masters’ Degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a research fellow at the Zentrum für Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft in Berlin. He is a graduate of Leadership Great Madison and was named one of Dane County’s “Top 40 Under 40” professionals. In addition to his passion for the environment, Paul dances with the Madison Ballet and loves to hike and travel.
