The Keynote speaker for the 2016 Madison Nonprofit Day Conference is Alder District 1, Madison Common Council, renown community leader and social justice advocate, educator, and entrepreneur, Barbara Harrington-McKinney. Barbara moved to Madison to take care of her son, beloved news anchor Mike McKinney who died of cancer.

Barbara has since created her own legacy here in Madison. A social justice advocate, she has been passionate about Restorative Justice. Barbara has also spent time utilizing her two Master’s degrees— a Master’s in Business Administration from Fontbonne University, and a Master’s in Public Policy Administration & Policy Analysis from Southern Illinois University. She has worked as an investment advisor and educator. “I have a deep passionate love for people,” say Harrington-McKinney.
