Chris Ziemba

Chris Ziemba has spent the majority of his career helping nonprofit organizations fulfill their missions. Chris started his career in nonprofits in Chicago as a case manager and development assistant at HOME - Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly. Over the past 19 years, Chris’ nonprofit leadership positions have included roles at Stoughton Hospital Foundation, Three Gaits Therapeutic Horse Center and The Salvation Army of Dane County. He’s also been a Loaned Executive with the United Way of Dane County. Since 2014, he has been a Major Gift Officer for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. Through his work, he’s learned of the critical need of delivering nutritious food to those who need it in southern Wisconsin. In June 2016, Chris received the Certified Fund Raising Executive designation from CFRE International. He volunteers on the Board of The Friends of the Stoughton Opera House and as an Ambassador for the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce. Along with his wife, Kathy, he likes to explore food and music events around Wisconsin. He's always up for discussing a variety of fundraising topics or the state of nonprofits over a glass of craft beer.

Second Harvest Foodbank

Second Harvest Foodbank exists to end hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. We work with hundreds of local hunger-relief charities to provide the peace-of-mind people get when they know they have enough food. We remain dedicated to providing healthy and nutritious food to those we serve. Second Harvest is a member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of member food banks and the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization Despite the millions of meals we’ve been able to provide over the years, there is still a gap between the number of meals we provide and the number of meals needed in our area.
