Lisa Dugdale





Lisa Dugdale is the Executive Director of the Center for Community Stewardship (C4CS). In this role Lisa is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of C4CS. Under her leadership, C4CS has almost doubled in size each of the past three years. Lisa has provided leadership coaching, facilitation training, and organizational and community needs assessments for the past fifteen years in Michigan and Wisconsin. She founded and ran a nonprofit in Michigan for many years, and has helped start many other organizations and initiatives, which has inspired her to make it as easy as possible to help social entrepreneurs succeed. She has Masters Degrees in Public Policy and Social Work (focused on nonprofit management) from the University of Michigan, and completed life coach training with Martha Beck, Inc. in 2012. She has a 20-year practice of meditation and mindfulness that she applies to her work at C4CS.

The Center for Community Stewardship (C4CS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds capacity of people working to make our community better, through facilitation and fiscal sponsorship. Community Facilitation services include advising, coaching, facilitation, and training about facilitation, dialogue circles, and community visioning processes. Our goal is to increase the capacity of community initiatives to hold meetings and community engagement processes that are inclusive, participatory, and well-facilitated. Fiscal Sponsorship is a formal arrangement in which C4CS assists projects that lack tax-exempt status by allowing them to seek grants and solicit tax-deductible donations under C4CS’s tax exempt status. C4CS fiscal sponsorship offers it’s 40 projects comprehensive finance and accounting service, insurance, human resources and benefits, and tax, audit, and other support services.
