Creating Meaningful Opportunities for Volunteers

Nonprofits universally struggle with ambitious missions and limited resources. Yet one of the greatest assets for Dane County nonprofits is the wealth of potential quality student interns and volunteers. In this session, participants will consider how to intentionally develop opportunities that create value for both parties. Topics covered will include evaluating recruitment avenues, writing attractive job descriptions, and auditing the organizational infrastructure to ensure a strong staffing foundation. By approaching the volunteer experience holistically, participants will be able to provide a quality experience and open the door for stronger partnerships.
