Crowd-funding has taken its mantel in society. Ideas that banks, foundations, and government won't fund or will fund but with far too many restrictions, are being given new life by individual interest. This panel presentation will offer an interactive, question and answer session for individuals interested in using Kickstarter or other crowdsourcing platforms to fun projects an opportunity to directly learn from those who have already navigated those shark-infested waters. Come, ask, learn.

Madison, Wisconsin has had a number of individuals and projects enter the Kickstarter arena. We contacted, successfully funded projects that were community focused to participate in our panel. All the participating projects, exceeded their funding goals—large or small; they each had more than 70 backers; and each had at least 3 project updates to their backers. The projects are:
