Andy Davey
As Community Resource Analyst for the Madison Community Foundation (MCF), Andy conducts and disseminates research on the nonprofit sector in Dane County. The aim of his research is to help philanthropic donors make informed decisions and connect nonprofits to the resources they need to build their organizational capacity.
Andy is also a PhD candidate in Geography at UW-Madison, where he studies how people and institutions develop and enact environmental values.
Prior to arriving in Madison, Andy worked for several nonprofit organizations in Seattle, WA. He lived and worked with people with developmental disabilities, conducted educational outreach for an independent magazine, and facilitated cultural exchange programs between Seattle communities and the University of Washington.
When not researching or writing, he can often be found biking around town and spending time with his wife and baby son.
