Laneice McGee

Laneice McGee, from Milwaukee, WI, has more than 16 years of experience in the Department of Workforce Development; currently she serves as the District Director for the Department of Workforce Development in the W.O.W (Waukesha, Ozaukee & Washington) Counties. The enriching force of her motivation to keep on working in the field of career development is being able to nourish the goals of people with diverse backgrounds enduring years of experience ranging from zero to over twice a decade. She graduated from Fisk University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, after which she proceeded to Springfield College for her Master’s degree program in Human Services.

Laneice is the founder of the reputable “Future Entrepreneurs Moving Ahead” (F.E.M.A), an establishment that looks to motivate and spur youths to be strong, resource driven and goal-oriented entrepreneurs by providing mentorship programs. She is also the co-founder of the establishment “Big, Beautiful and Blessed,” an organization that looks to promote positive self-image in young women through modeling, youth workshops and seminar, get fit events and much more.

Creating a Sustainable Pipeline for Our Future
F.E.M.A (Future Entrepreneurs Moving Ahead) is a summer program aimed at exploring entrepreneurship option for youth, learning valuable skills in marketing, sales, presentation, and creative thinking.  We develop and enhancing youth ages 11-18 with the skills necessary to start and maintain their own business, exploring their talents that can be used in their personal and professional life.  The skills learned, are transformable to the marketplace or any professional field. They are matched with successful adult entrepreneurs and at the end of the course, they showcase their products and learned skills at an annual business expo event.
