How would you engage differently with a donor or sponsor that values family, as opposed to a one that values achievement? A donor’s core values are what drive them to support you. The more you know about those values, the better you serve them. This high-energy, interactive session looks at how to identify, recognize, and leverage existing and potential donors’ core values and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships.


Details

This session is primarily interactive. The main activity is partnered story sharing to learn how to listen for others' values. Participants also learn more about their own values, and feel the power have those values be truly seen by another person. After skill building the session becomes a facilitated discussion on how these tools can be applied in people's current roles. This shares learning and around the room, and makes space to mix inspiration, aspiration, and application. Long session desc: How would you engage differently with a donor or sponsor that has a primary core value of family, as opposed to a one with a primary value of achievement? Would you communicate with them or recognize their contributions differently? The answer is: Absolutely yes. A donor’s core values are what drive them to support you. When you recognize their values it's a powerful message that says, "You are seen as an individual. You matter as a person, and we appreciate for who you are." It generate true connection with the people that support your organization. This high-energy, interactive session teaches real-world skills to identify core values in the people and organizations around us. Participants will be able to immediately apply those skills to: - Connect with new potential donors - Build and strengthen existing donor relationships
