Gracias! Danke! Merci! Grazie! Mahalo! In any language, ‘thanks’ is such a simple word, and it comes in many forms— some quick and easy, others more time-consuming and crazy. No matter what, volunteers deserve and need to be thanked. Some organizations feel that a once-a-year appreciation event is what is needed to thank their volunteers but what they don’t understand is that most organizations need a culture of gratitude in order to thrive.
