Q&A: Nonprofits & Solar Energy
Jackie Harrison-Jewell is the Executive Director of Couillard Solar Foundation, an organization that helps Wisconsin nonprofits go solar through two grant programs, Solar for Good, administered by RENEW, WI and Solar on Schools, administered by MREA.
Jackie's experience includes strategic planning, the development and implementation of marketing strategy, brand development and identity, as well as creating websites and marketing materials. I have also consulted on marketing and communications.
She is also a mosaic and mixed media artist, specializing in mosaics that mix the classical traditional mediums with the casual everyday ephemera of the modern world.
The Couillard Solar Foundation promotes the expansion of solar energy in Wisconsin through partnerships with renewable energy focused, Wisconsin-based organizations. Our mutual goal is to enable nonprofits across Wisconsin, schools, churches, service and other community organizations, to join the renewable energy revolution.
Through grants and education, CSF helps to raise awareness of the importance of solar as a way to foster our mutual economic and environmental benefit.
Founded by the Couillard family, CSF is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The foundation is run by a volunteer board and has one paid staff member.
