Amy Hilgendorf

I am a third generation Madisonian who seeks to leverage the tools of social science to advance local efforts towards justice and community well-being. I am the Associate Director of Engaged Research for the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Drawing from 15 years' experience as a community-engaged researcher and evaluator, I lead teams of students and staff in applied projects that answer the important questions of nonprofit organizations and local groups working to improve their communities. We approach our work with critical eyes, warm hearts, and adventurous spirits.
